Air Tools and Compressors
Anyone who has not used air tools to complete their jobs likely do not know what they are missing. Those who do use them could not imagine going back to using manual tools ever again! The advantages of using air powered tools far outweigh the disadvantages.
The ability to interchange them as needed is very convenient and they save a lot of energy. They are more efficient and have a longer life span than their manual counterparts. Some examples of air tools include hammers, nailers, drills, staplers, sanders, saws, and impact wrenches. Air tools use air compressors to power them. There are two different types: portable and stationary. Most people who own compressors prefer the portable variety because they can be easily maneuvered and are quieter than stationary compressors.
You must look at your tools and decide what size compressor you need. There are varying tank sizes based on what tools need to be powered. For example, impact wrenches use a lot of air so a smaller tank would run out before the pump could refill it. A nail gun, on the other hand, could operate just fine with a small tank. Be sure you know what size tank you need for the tools you own.
